While I was touring the Volta region Ghana I made a quick stop at the Tafi monkey sanctuary which is said to have over 200 monkeys living there, I am not much of a monkey lover but i wanted to see and learn about the different species of monkeys, on getting there we paid an unbelievable sum of money just to see the monkeys we were asked to pay 50ghc per person just to see monkeys, we were there already and couldn't leave without seeing the monkeys so we paid the money, but if you happen to be a student you get to pay lesser but you have to be holding your student i.d card or something to prove you are a student in Ghana, we were asked to take a banana with us actually the workers there provide the bananas and we went into the forest to the monkeys there are some small houses built for the monkeys but you hardly find them there as they tend to be more inside the forest, we didn't get to see all the monkeys just a few as they seemed to be hiding inside the bush we walked for a long time and it seems kind of tiring we had to take a stop and started to head back, the few ones we got to see we fed them the bananas we bought with us i even got scratched in the process of feeding the monkeys honestly i was extremely annoyed with the amount of money we had to pay just to see the monkeys, and the fact that we didn't get to see all the monkeys, despite seeing a few of the monkeys i feel if i will be paying that amount of money to see the monkeys then measurements should be taken for the monkeys to be available especially when there are visitors around.
