Mountain Afadjato is the highest mountain in West Africa standing on its own although there are mountains that can go higher than Mountain Afadjato, they don't stand alone they always stand attached to other mountains, Mount Afadja is situated near the border between Ghana and Togo in the Volta Region of Ghana. It is the highest peak in Ghana and offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, Mount Afadjato is also known as Afadjato to the Ewe people of Ghana and Togo, with an elevation of 885 meters (2,904 feet) above sea level.

Mountain Afadjato was named the highest mountain in West Africa because it stands alone, mountain Afadjato is located in the Volta region near the border with Togo, close to the villages of Liati Wote and Gbledi Gbogame in the Afadjato South district and Hoehoe, it takes 40mins-1hr to climb mountain Afadjato depending on how fit you are, and per person is charged 15 cedis, while a group of people (7) pays 10 cedis per person, our tour guide was really patience with us while climbing the mountain , climbing the mountain was really fun and we got to meet new people while we were climbing, we also saw a 75 year old man climbing to the top of the mountain, it was fun while it lasted, also while we were climbing we also got to learn about the sad story that happened there just a few months before we arrived how there was a fire that caught the mountain from togo side and some of the plants and trees there got burnt also the monkies and other animals there had to flee from the mountain
