 Makoko Biggest Slum Village In West Africa I'm sure you've heard about Makoko, it is the biggest slum in Nigeria with a population of over 21 million people,  Makoko is a floating slum in Lagos, Nigeria. It is the largest floating slum in Africa, It is located on the Lagos Lagoon which is on the mainland and it is built on stilts above the water The first settlers in Makoko were Egun people who migrated from Badagry and the Republic of Benin. They were fishermen who built their homes on stilts to protect themselves from the floods that frequently occur in the area. The Benin Moat The next day i arrived there it was easy this time because i now know the location of the place and on getting there i met him and asked if i could film i was granted permission but of course i had to pay after much pleading and explaining how i had spent a lot on the trip .... i went in discovered people were still leaving in the first storey building in the Benin Kingdom and the house was quite old, red and muddy, it was made with wooden decking, it is said that the design was given to chief iyamu by a Briton , Mr crawe reade a colonial officer. Although the house keeps getting reconstructed but the part of the house built with mud has been left that way and has been standing for many years. here i was staring at the building and wondering about the things that must have happened there, how did the people lived their lives way before i was born at this moment i was happy to have captured yet another beautiful memory. My Abuja Kayak Ride Experience kayak rides are generally fun and a great way to enjoy the outdoors and get some exercise. Kayaking is a relatively easy activity to learn, and it can be enjoyed by people of all ages and fitness levels.  I was recently in Abuja for a few months and visited a lot of places as exploring is one of my hobbies. i went kayaking with my friends at first i thought it was a boat ride because i had never really been on a kayak before didn't know what it was about but i am glad to say i did. imagine someone who doesn't know how to swim isn't afraid of water i could only think of the fun i would have, in fact, i was the first to go into the water funny thing is as soon as i got in i got a hang of it i quickly understood how to paddle and it was fun despite my outfit didn't really match the occasion i went with a few friends we did racing and just went round the water they allowed us to stay for as long as we want and of course, there is a life jacke
